Winchester Networking

A new business networking group in Winchester has got off to a great start with over 20 local businesses booking to attend the inaugural meeting.

This friendly new business networking group has been set up to provide networkers with the opportunity to meet and build productive, long-term relationships with potential new customers, suppliers and recommenders.

As well as opportunities for informal networking and a great breakfast, the first meeting included a thought-provoking talk by guest speaker Steve Jones. Hampshire-based Steve is a celebrated author and founder of Skills for Business Training. He was also part of the management team which grew Fitness First into the largest independent health club chain in the world in just seven years.

Steve introduced networkers to his PROFITS Tap model, touched on positioning, building relationships and how to free up time for strategy when there are 180 things on the to do list plus service delivery.

Julie Jackson, founder of Winchester Networking and owner of Essential PR & Marketing says: “In launching Winchester Networking, I have fulfilled a personal ambition which has been a long time in the making.

“Choosing to be a small business owner is not an easy option so it is my ambition to grow Winchester Networking into a supportive community of networkers. I would like to thank everybody who showed their support by coming along to the first meeting and I look forward to meeting many more local businesses in the coming months.”

Winchester Networking takes place on the last Friday of the month from 7.30-9.30am at South Winchester Golf Club. The meetings alternate between facilitated one-to-ones and micro masterclasses on interesting topics aimed at helping businesses to grow and be more successful.
